What is Inspiration?
It depends on what you like to do.

Many people ask us what is inspiration? How do you define it? To us inspiration is doing what you love. It is unleashing the power of your mind to the vast creative potential alive in each one of us.

Our new book, The Inspired Life: Unleashing Your Mind's Capacity for Joy,addresses this issue by providing you with concepts stories and exercises to cultivate the inspired life of your dreams.

When we do book signings people ask us "What is Inspiration?" Inspiration looks different depending on who you are.

Each one of us is a unique individual and each one of us has unique skills gifts and talents that when expressed means that you live a life of joy.

This expression of inspirational joy is often characterized by

  • Being in the flow
  • Losing all sense of time
  • Doing what you are meant to do
  • In synch with yourself
  • Filled with joy and excitement
  • Feeling whole, happy and content

Use this exercise to help you determine your inspired life vision.

Step One:

Ask yourself these questions and write your responses:

    1. What do I love to do?

    2. What environment do I enjoy?

    3. What type of activities excite me?

    4. What gets me charged up?

    5. What things do I love the most?

    6. What is most critical to my happiness and well being?

    7. Who would I be and what would I be do, if I knew I could not fail?

    8. What do I want my obituary to say about my life?

Step Two:

Ask yourself: What are the thoughts and actions that support and nourish my living an inspired life? Write down the answers.

Step Three:

What thoughts do I commit to think and actions do I commit to take to strengthen my joy and inspiration?

We encourage you to make the choice to live your life aligned with the thoughts, feelings and actions that generate joy in your life. When you commit to this practice, life will unfold in wonderful ways.
